The Return of the Shaman
Well its not very often that I blog, and it is even less often that I blog about playing World of Warcraft! But I thought the time had come to venture once more into a brief blog about my exploits in this multiplayer universe
As you might expect, I am not the best at playing the game. Like all things it requires the input of time and with everything else I try to do I find it difficult to actually play on a regular basis. However...I do have a very good solution to this problem. Instead of spending hours browsing the internet for the best guide for this or that, or even looking for the best gear or items that I might, I can just go online and play, thanks to my own personal guru on the subject. My little brother! (if you are reading this, and I hope you are, thanks bro!)
When I first started to play the game, far too long ago to actually remember when I started, I embarked with the class of a shaman. The main reasons for this choice was that I liked the little totems that popped up when cast. Typically this the way I choose my classes, not with any ounce of logic, mainly on looks and if I like the background of the class. Over the years I have ventured away from this class and got other classes to 70th, but after careful prompting by my guru, I have finally come back to the shaman in order to level him to 80th and to use him in the endgame
Typically I tend to choose the least effective choices in these games, and so, at the moment, I am levelling him in what is known as elemental spec. Basically, for those people who I lost after the first sentence but are still perservering reading, this allows me to blast with lightning and fire based spells at a distance, dropping my totems to hopefully protect and revive my stats. So far things are going well and I am heading in the right direction. Lightning streams from my shaman's hands at regular intervals and I have apparently discovered that I can quite effectively "take down" opponents. I think this is mainly due to the fact that I only need to concentrate on like three buttons, and this suits my limited knowledge and commitment to such things. I still make the usual mistakes, standing in the wrong place in boss fights, not using the right spell at the correct time, or even knowing which way to turn or where to jump off. (usually I jump off objects at the wrong place and end up falling for a life time before hitting the ground rather hard!). But the important thing is that I am actually having fun with the class and making some progress. (now a staggering 71st level!!)
so if you play, look out for Jajot and if you don't here just admire his photo in this blog.
Have fun!
