Posterous : Should I use this site?

Well I have been playing with this site for a while and downloaded the new Picposterous App for the iphone as well, and I am currently to the point of thinking whether or not to use this site and if I do how I will use it.

Initially the idea is a great one, I post one comment and it goes to all my blogs, media sites and everything is done and dusted.

However, as I look into it further it does concern me that I like to know where everything is on the net and it is important, because that's how my brain works, that I compartmentalise my items into their corretc and appropriate boxes. For examples, Twitter is definitely my choice of micro blogging, I like the way it is easy to enter from either Tweetdeck or Tweetie and that I can just post random or replies on the move and when I am stationary at home. These items I don't really need to keep and very rarely look back on them at all, and so twitter suits the purpose. I dont think I will use posterous to post to my twitter.

I have my own blog site (www.inwils.co.uk/blog) which is based on wordpress which I created because I wanted to try and design my own site. I still currently post to my blogger and wordpress.com site, by using Marsedit. I dont know if posterous can be linked to marsedit, but I can see it being a good way to write one post and for it to appear on all my sites.

Tumblr I use for my links and videos. I love using tumblr and have used it for years now, its easy to create the link and this feeds into my twitter feed, although it doesn't feed into my blog. It does however feed into my friend feed account.

Friend Feed I use for a base for all my things to feed into. I never post anything to Friend Feed, I post to twitter and tumblr and Friend Feed picks it up and reports it. I alos feed my flickr account into this as well.

My photos is one of my major decisions at the moment. I take photos in a variety of different places.

1) My digital Camera : These I upload to iphoto and then post to Flickr and/or MobileMe for everyone to see.

2) iPhone : These are photos I take when I dont have my digital camera with me, or I cant get to it quick enough, I normally upload these to iphoto when I get back and then up to flickr

3) iPhone photos for twitter: These are photos that I take to illustrate the point for a twitter post or to send in a text message.

From writing this post I think it has become obvious to me that my decision has to be where to put my photos. At the moment, they are on twitpics and flickr. I wonder what I should do? how can I get them so I can get them altogether and accessable. I wonder if posterous is also the answer to this, that I post them there and they appear on flickr and also on twitter? Puzzled and can't decide.

I guess you need to watch this space....have fun!
