posterous and flickr

Has you might have realised from my last post I have been trying to decide which blogging tool to use for my photos as I take them.

I've been out and about today, and I thought that I would try using Posterous to post my photos to and see how they get auto posted to flickr. I decided to use PicPosterous to see how that manages them as well.

I really liked the way I could set up an album for the day and how this is then created in Posterous, a nice little slideshow view where people can see the photos from the whole day. (seen here http://inwils.posterous.com/today-830). It looks good and I think its a good way for the viewers to glance at all the photos that I been taken. I also really like the way that the photos automatically go into the album (unless you request that they go somewhere esle) so that all the photos you take at an event or during one day go together.

One problem that I can see is that the album gets published onto Posterous when the first photo is taken, and after that, new photos are not show in the post stream. You can prevent these from being auto posted eslewhere, but generally I think some notification to say that another photo has been added would be beneficial somewhere.

As for Flickr, well to be honest I was hoping that PicPosterous would post the whole album to Flickr, or post individual photos and put them into the same album. So far, the first photo has been autoposted to Flickr, while the second in the album I had to autopost from the site. So far I am not sure whether I don't have something set up right or if there still needs to be some work done on the posting to Flickr from the app.

Hopefully I will be able to sort some of these problems out in the the next few days, if anyone has any helpful suggestions or can point out where I am going wrong I would love to know.

Thanks...and have fun!
