Better out than in!
Spent some time with friends today, sat chilling in a starbucks, really nice to just sit and chat and forget about the cares of the world. Then home for some salad, and then out for a walk to another starbucks for a cuppa and a sandwich...does this mean I am addicted? Finished the Twilight book today, which I enjoyed and started a new book called Deception Point, by Dan Brown. Interesting so far. I really do love audio books, mainly because I can actually multitask while reading them, either in the car or walking somewhere. Throughout the holidays I always try to use the car as little as I possibly can, in my vain attempt to save some of the planet's resources. Walking and listening can be very relaxing and sometimes I often just walk round on a circuit in order to listen to a book or a podcast.
There was a time in the past (some of you might remember it) when I would never even contemplate leaving the house, unless it was literally a do or die situation. Please to say those days have past and I now prefer to be out than in. Especially when that includes being out with friends.
Been looking at GarageBand for the past few days, and it seems to be a very good program, although I can't really see myself using it in the future, it does seems to be a good program for creating podcasts on. When it comes to podcasts, video blogs and blogs (yes I am still thinking about them) I seem to be interested not so much in the content of the post, but more in the preparation and the time that goes into creating them in the first place. I was reading an article in Web Designer magazine today, about the creative process of making a website and I wonder if this is the same procedure that people go through for their blogs? I must admit, I tend to log my ideas for blog posts as I get them on Evernote, although sometimes, like this one, the post is completely random and bears no relation to anything. With programs such as Twitter and Audiboo it tends just to be a spur of the moment decision to create something, rather than something that requires or even needs much planning. Perhaps spontaneous blogs are often the more exciting ones.
Anyway, time is ticking on and since I am going to try desperate to sleep past 5am tomorrow (i live in hope) I better start to make tracks to bed.....have fun!
